Jurg Olsen   is experienced in designing, constructing and managing wildlife facilities. He has over 15 years experience, as well as experience with managing and owning other business entities. He grew up in the Limpopo Province and had his first encounter with a leopard, at the young age of only 6 years old. This incident, had a lasting impact on him and was key to the choosing of this profession in later years.   Read more

Karen Olsen   is a qualified Oral Hygienst and spent 21 years practising at different dental clinics in Gauteng. In 2005, alongside her husband, she co-founded the Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary. Karen specialised in animal welfare, diets, health and husbandry projects. She also managed a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation hospital, and is experienced the rehabilitation of injured, traumatised or diseased wildlife species. Karen is responsible for managing administration, the volunteers, the community projects and is the liaison with International sponsors and the donors of the Ubuntu: Spirit of Africa Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Sanctuary.

Danny Kolodynski   Daniel, has been living in the UK, London, for the past 30 years. He studied Sports & Business Management and received a Bachelors Degree with Honours at Buckinghamshire University, where he proceeded to work in a fast-paced, high-growth area in technology. He has held positions spanning a number of years with companies such as Oracle, and most recently where he currently works, Salesforce.   Read more

Daniel, has been living in the UK, London, for the past 30 years. He studied Sports & Business Management and received a Bachelors Degree with Honours at Buckinghamshire University, where he proceeded to work in a fast-paced, high-growth area in technology. He has held positions spanning a number of years with companies such as Oracle, and most recently where he currently works, Salesforce.

Lukas Swart   Lukas was born in South Africa and is known as a late 67 model. South Africa, was home, where he completed his education. During his education years, he met Jurg and this was the start of a life-long friendship. After completing his education, Lukas left to complete his military training, over a period of two years, at the National Defence Force Equestrian Centre. He states, that his relationship and work with the equestrian centre and the horses themselves, will always be a fond memory for him.   Read more

Natalie Greenwood   Natalie visited Ubuntu as a volunteer, through her work in 2018 and wasn’t sure what to expect on arrival. Within 3 days of working with the team, Natalie and fellow volunteers were given the opportunity to prepare and experience the first rescue of Ubuntu Sanctuary, which was Adam, she absolutely fell in love with the place and people. She has promised to return to South Africa and continues spreading the word about Ubuntu in the United Kingdom.

Lacey Gray   Lacey started her career in brand marketing and for the last 13 years she has been creating content internationally across print and moving images.  She was instrumental in establishing, Flower Avenue Production, whilst living in LA for 8 years, and more recently heads-up the Production, out of Europe.

Frits and Santie - Owners of Portions 81 to 88 Farm Skuinsdrift 75JP    Frits and Santie  grew up in the Skuinsdrift area in the North West Province. With their son Frits (15) they have established themselves as renowned crop farmers in the area, with products such as tobacco, soya beans, maize etc for the past 27 years.  In 2008 they introduced game farming to their already esteemed farming activities and over a period of 10 years they worked with various indigenous species such as Kudu, Wildebeest, Duiker, Zebra, Impala etc.   Read more
